I  specialize in brand awareness for musicians and marching ensembles. My approach to marketing involves targeting new audiences and creating exciting content that resonates with a larger demographic. 

Social Media Campaign and strategy

#BotsTastyTuesday

The main themes surrounding the #BotsTastyTuesdays campaign included consistent scheduling, variation in types of content (standalone graphics vs. videography) and targeted tagging. As the name states, an instagram post was scheduled for each Tuesday at 11am. Each post contained the Paddlebots profile name, #BotsTastyTuesday as well as the band’s logo to establish a certain aesthetic. In order to reach a wider audience, I included a balanced variation of videos featuring band members performing cover songs or original music and duets with featured guest artists. Furthermore, I created a variety of graphics to post in between the Tuesday videos and engaged new followers through responding to comments or direct messages.

After starting the #BotsTastyTuesday campaign, this post boosted followers for the month of November 2019 by 30% on Instagram. These posts were created using Final Cut Pro.

Collaboration

As we continued brand awareness and promotion, we started reaching out to other musicians across Michigan to collaborate on #BotsTastyTuesday. The outcome doubled our engagement numbers.

Effectiveness

This strategy increased our Facebook following 68% over 6 months and doubled our Instagram following over the course of 2019. Through this exposure, we were afforded new opportunities at larger venues and consequently increased tickets sales for headlining events by 40%.

Graphic Design and Brand identity

As a proponent of the arts and a musician myself, event and brand awareness play an integral part to the success of a creator. These are some graphics and logos I have designed to promote artists and creators in either event promotion or logo design.

Content Creation Management

Since Covid-19 left the 2021 Winter Guard International season completely virtual, I managed and directed a video production that was featured on Flomarching and Winter Guard International. This project had many levels as I had to oversee students and staff on goals for rehearsals along with communicate with a design and production team on the vision of the production. Through this work, we were able to create a unique interpretation of a traditional indoor show that the program is proud of. We are using this as a recruitment tool for the Lakeland High School band program throughout the district.
